Himachal to become first Indian state to run zero-emission electric buses

The government has also decided to exclude about 647 buses from its fleet which are more than 10 years old. These will be replaced by the electric buses
SHIMLA- Himachal Pradesh will soon be the first state in the country to introduce inter-state zero-emission electric buses. The Central government sanctioned Rs 35 crore for the project and the process of tender has started.

Trials of the electric buses have been successful.
The government has  decided to exclude about 647 buses from its fleet which are more than 10 years old. These will be replaced by the electric buses.
