Phicomm Passion 660 debuts in India, priced at Rs.10,999

Phicomm has launched its Passion 660 smartphone in India. Targeted at the budget segment, the new phone will compete with Xiaomi's latest Mi4i smartphone.

    Phicomm  is the latest entrant in the Indian mobile phone market.
           The company has debuted with a handset called the Phicomm Passion 660. Priced at 
         Rs. 10,999, the smartphone will be exclusively available via e-commerce site Amazon. 
     The phone will go on sale June 9. The Phicomm Passion 660 is 7.3mm slim and weighs about 110g.
    It has a 5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass protection.
  The Passion 660 comes with a 13.0-megapixel rear camera and a 5.0-megapixel front facing shooter.
  The phone runs Android KitKat and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor along with 2 GB of RAM.
The phone comes with micro SD card slot, which also can be doubled up as a nano SIM
holder.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0,
GPS and even NFC. A 2300 mAh battery powers the phone.
The new Phicomm Passion 660 will be competing against the Xiaomi Mi 4i, which
features 5-inch full HD display,
615 octa-core 64-bit processor along with 2GB of RAM,
13MP rear camera with two tone flash and 5MP front-facing cameras.
The phone is powered by 3120mAh battery. The Mi 4i is priced at Rs. 12,999.

Phicomm is the latest brand to enter an already crowded Indian mobile phone market.
Following the trend, the company has chosen the budget segment and online-exclusive
model. Recently, the likes of cool pad Meizu and Vivo joined the Indian market. Besides the newcomers,
Phicomm will also have to compete with the likes of Micromax, Xiaomi,
Asus and Motorola which have been consistently targeting the budget smartphone segment.
